Halo Infinite Won't Offer Loot Boxes for Real Money

But 343 didn't close the door on loot boxes as a whole.

There's not much to say about Halo Infinite right now, with the game only having been teased through a tiny trailer back at E3 in June. However we now know that developer 343 won't be including loot boxes that you can buy with real money in the game.

343 co-studio head Chris Lee responded on Twitter to a question about the inclusion of loot boxes in Halo Infinite, which you can see just below. Interestingly enough, Lee only states that there won't be loot boxes that you can purchase with real money, which technically doesn't shut the door on loot boxes as a whole making their way into Halo Infinite.

As we mentioned previously, there's really not much else to say about Halo Infinite right now. What we do know is that it is the next main entry in the Halo franchise, despite dropping the numbering system, and that it will feature the Master Chief.

We'll be reporting on any further details about Halo Infinite, whenever they're revealed.

He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
