Last week, we got a look at campaign gameplay of Halo Infinite, the upcoming Halo game for Xbox Series X. And while fans debated whether it was good or bad, one took to an entirely different console family to develop their own take: a Halo made in Dreams.
YouTube user Disarmed has made a few Dreams creations, documented on their channel, including two videos of a "photorealistic forest" in virtual reality. But following the gameplay reveal of Halo Infinite, Disarmed tweeted that they got to thinking about how strange it would be to have Halo on the PlayStation. So, here you go: a brief look at Halo, made in Dreams.
To be clear, this is just a tech demo in Dreams, and as Disarmed tweets, this is a tribute and not an attempt to one-up 343 Industries. But even among the other Halo demos in Dreams, this one has a pretty cool, modern look to it and the assault rifle looks rad.
Halo Infinite's world is sounding much, much larger than a demo slice, with a grappling hook and tons of enemies to take down as Master Chief wages a one-man war on the Covenant once again. Of course, the showcase spawned a number of discussions that took on a life all their own. Craig the Brute became a meme in record time, despite his face only appearing for a few frames of the video.
Either way, Halo Infinite looks neat and sounds like it has some cool exploration and back-tracking, and this Dreams demo looks rad too. No matter what console, there's plenty of Halo to go around right now. The real Halo Infinite will launch sometime this year for Xbox Series X, as well as Xbox One and PC.
