Halo: The Master Chief Collection is Coming to Xbox Game Pass in September With Xbox One X Enhancements

Faster load times, better matchmaking, and 4K HDR.

Microsoft announced during its live show at Gamescom that the Halo: Master Chief Collection is coming to the Xbox Game Pass on September 1.

The Halo: Master Chief Collection on Game Pass will come with some new Xbox One X enhancement like 4K resolution and HDR. However, other updates like improved matchmaking, offline LAN, and fast load times are also incoming. The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 remastered and running at 60FPS.

The Xbox Game Pass mobile app is also in beta on iOS and Android devices and it will let you browse the library of games available on the service and download them to your Xbox One console.

Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's Netflix-like subscription service where for a monthly fee of $9.99 users can have access to all the games on the service. At Gamescom, Microsoft announced that new users can get two months of Xbox Game Pass for $2 and Xbox Live Gold for two months for $2. So it's a good chance to try out both services if you haven't already.

Game Pass is Xbox One's killer app that offers some great deals on a lot of games. First-party titles also launch day one on the service, so if you're interested in checking out games like Sea of Thieves or State of Decay 2, both are on the service now.
