Harley Quinn Arrives in Fortnite Battle Royale

Epic unvaults the Launch Pad for chaos.

Later today, Harley Quinn will be arriving in Fortnite Battle Royale. With the release of DC's Birds of Prey imminent, Margot Robbie's iteration of the classic DC character will be available in Fortnite very soon.

In the next update to the Fortnite Item Store, two versions of Harley Quinn will be available to purchase as outfits. One version of Harley bears more of a resemblance to her outfit from 2016's Suicide Squad, while the other one uses her costume from Birds of Prey.

Elsewhere in patch 11.50 for Fortnite Battle Royale, the Launch Pad has been reintroduced to the game. Previously 'Vaulted' and taken out of the battle royale game, the Launch Pad has now been redeployed for all your gliding needs, acting as an item in your 'Trap' inventory that you can use to spring high up into the air before descending down again using your glider.

Finally, there's a new Valentine's Day-themed event coming to Fortnite later in the month. We don't know what it is, but we do know the mode will feature the usual smattering of challenges, as well as new cosmetic items to earn through completing said challenges.

Birds of Prey hits theatres this Friday, February 7. It's the latest film in Warner Bros' less-than-stellar run of DC Comics adaptations (although here's hoping things pick up with Birds of Prey). This actually isn't the first crossover event between DC Comics and Fortnite—Batman and Catwoman arrived in the battle royale mode as outfits in September, shortly after Batman Day.
