Here's 15 Minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay

Respawn's Star Wars game finally has gameplay, and yup, it's Star Wars.

EA and Respawn showed off the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order today during its EA Play livestream. The gameplay focused on new Star Wars hero Cal Kestis as he uses his Jedi powers to, what else? Stop the Empire.

The trailer begins with Cal working with a resistance faction led by Saw Gerrera. It's unclear if that's actually actor Forest Whitaker reprising his role from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but it's nice to see a recognizable face.

The 15 minutes of gameplay footage shown off during EA's livestream event covers a lot of the basics you'd expect from a Star Wars Jedi game. There are some Jedi force powers like Force Stop, Force Pull, Force Push, as well as some lightsaber combat. Cal gets into 1vs1 lightsaber battles with beam staff wielding imperials, fights with giant spider creatures, and of course Storm Troopers

There are also environmental platforming areas that are very reminiscent of Uncharted, but with some Respawn flourishes like wall running. Respawn even added a detective mode of sorts. So if you've played modern third-person action-adventure games like Uncharted or any of the Arkham series, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will look very familiar to you.

The demo ends as Cal rescues the Wookie on the planet Kasheek. You can play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on November 15. Check out our Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order guide for more coverage on Respawn's Star Wars game, and check out our E3 EA guide for more on today's livestream event.
