Toby Fox's Undertale is one special RPG. I love it, and I think it has one of the best end-games of all time. Not everyone agrees with me, and I understand, but at the same time I insist on putting my foot down when I say Undertale has one of the best game soundtracks of all time. Because it does.
As with all epic soundtracks, Undertale's tunes are ripe for re-mixing. The latest compilation is Undertale Piano Collections 2 from Materia Collective. For $10 USD for more, you get fifteen Undertale tracks re-composed as piano-centric pieces.
We received permission to post a sample. Here's Materia Collective's rendition of Heartache, the battle theme that plays when you face off against Toriel early in the game.
The album's Bandcamp page has two additional samples: Ruins, and Enemy Approaching ~ Stronger Monsters. You can pre-order now. The full album is out on March 9.
Additional tracks in the line-up include:
- Mysterious Place
- Snowdin Town
- Dating Start!
- Spider Dance
- Temmie Village ~ Tem Shop
- Battle Against a True Hero
- Metal Crusher
- Oh! Piano
- Your Best Nightmare ~ Finale
- Last Goodbye
