New Cyberpunk 2077 Map Shows Gang Turf Within Night City

From the World of Cyberpunk 2077 book.

Cyberpunk 2077's Night City is home to a fair few different factions, each controlling a different area of the city. A new map now gives us a much better look at territories that each gang controls in Night City.

Just below, you can see the complete gang turf map, from the recently published World of Cyberpunk 2077 book from CD Projekt (and posted to Reddit by u/JavatheHutt). It's a really good look at how Night City's being fought over, and the different areas that are controlled by different factions. Note that the larger the gang logo, the more presence and control they have in a certain area.

As noted on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, it's interesting that there's no gang presence in the City Center area. This is the area that's chiefly controlled by major corporations and the upper class of Night City, as one Cyberpunk 2077 producer previously told me last year.

Additionally, there's no gang activity in the Arasaka Waterfront area of the city for similar reasons. The Arasaka Corporation is one of the most powerful factions in all of Night City, and it's logical to assume they'll also have a large presence in the aforementioned City Center area.

There's still a huge number of areas in Night City that we're yet to see from Cyberpunk 2077's gameplay demos. Last year's E3/Gamescom 2019 demo took place in the Pacifica area of the city, and this is the only location in the city which CD Projekt has name-dropped during gameplay showcases.

There's actually going to be a new Cyberpunk 2077 showcase later today, on August 11. The second Night City Wire episode is slated to show us more weapons and player lifepaths through the game, after the last episode focused on a form of hacking called "Braindance."

Cyberpunk 2077 is still on track to release on November 19, 2020. After being delayed several times over the course of 2020 so far, the game will be coming to current and next-gen platforms, with a hefty update taking full advantage of next-gen capabilities further down the line.
