Here's Our First Look at Red XIII in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Here's Our First Look at Red XIII in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Cat's out of the bag.

New details surrounding the Final Fantasy 7 Remake have surfaced online, although not through official channels. After data mining the leaked demo for the remake, users have found official artwork for several characters.

Red XIII has had quite the makeover. The experimental product of the evil Shinra Corporation will be joining Cloud and co. on their adventures in Midgar, attempting to take down the very people that created him.

There's not much in the way of change for Red XIII in the remake, although then again we can only see his head. He's still got a missing eye, and scars from torture and experimentation over his fur.

Hojo is another remade character highlighted in the leak. The head scientist at Shinra, Hojo is actually the one responsible for creating Red XIII, and will be antagonizing Cloud and co. through much of the remake.

All the leaked material can be found on Imgur. Unfortunately, character models aren't the only details revealed in the leaked demo. We won't be posting any details here, but suffice to say that several key story developments have been revealed for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, if the information is accurate.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake releases on March 7, 2020, exclusively for the PS4. It'll be launching for other, unspecified platforms approximately a year later in 2021.
