Nemesis. You love to hate him, and you really hate to love him. Now Resident Evil 3's terrifying antagonistic monster has been faithfully recreated in Dreams, to horrifying effect.
Take a look at the slice of gameplay from the Nemesis creation in Dreams just below, which you can go and try out for yourself if you have Media Molecule's game. It's astounding that the creator went so far as to replicate his tentacle that grab that the monster uses to pull you towards him, as well as punching and smashes exactly as you'd see them in Capcom's remake from earlier this month.
Honestly, hats off to creator u/Robo_Killer on the Dreams subreddit. It's also stunning that they've replicated Nemesis' heart-stopping ability to smash through walls around the environment, which the monster does in Capcom's game to poor protagonist Jill Valentine a fair few times. I think this took a couple years off my life every time it happened in Resident Evil 3.
Dreams creations from after the full game launched in February have been nothing short of spectacular. There's been a games editor within a games editor, as well as a faithful Mario recreation, which Nintendo ordered developer Media Molecule to take down in March.
Curious about Media Molecule's Dreams but haven't delved in? Why not check out our full review, which called it an "endless arcade of the mind" when it went into full launch earlier this year.
