Here’s What Hideo Kojima Would Look Like as a Cyberpunk 2077 Character
A tribute to the creator from CD Projekt Red is certainly intriguing.
Death Stranding, Kojima Productions's debut effort, is finally out on PC. To celebrate, another studio released a mysterious render of Hideo Kojima himself, posing on top of a futuristic bike.
CD Projekt Red posted what looks like a CG render of Hideo Kojima in the style of Cyberpunk 2077, alongside an image of the longtime developer posing on a Cyberpunk bike at a past gaming event. Kojima shared a different, wider version of the CG image on his own Twitter.

Obviously, this makes for good speculation. Cyberpunk 2077 is already known to have cameos from a couple video personalities, and that's not counting the major presence of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhands. Hideo Kojima himself is no stranger to cameos either; he had a number of them in Death Stranding, from Geoff Keighley to Conan O'Brien.
One Polish journalist claims they've confirmed that Kojima won't be showing up in the game. We've reached out to CD Projekt Red to ask ourselves, but even if this doesn't mean a cameo is happening, it's still a pretty cool tribute from one studio to another. I'm a little bummed Kojima's bike doesn't have a sidecar for a Bridge Baby though.
Kojima himself has been busy with teasing his next project with subtle development photos. CD Projekt Red is ramping up towards Cyberpunk 2077's release in November, and recently hosted the first of its Night City Wire updates, which included the announcement of a Cyberpunk anime in collaboration with Studio Trigger.
