Hitman 2's Enemies are Scary Smart, Can be Alerted By Your Reflection in a Mirror

Let's hope for a vampire costume.

For normal civilians, a mirror is a handy tool for making sure you don't have spinach between your teeth. But in Hitman 2, mirrors may wind up being your downfall thanks to improved enemy AI.

According to Hitman 2 developers Io Interactive, enemies can now spot Agent 47's reflection in mirrors. That means you need to be a lot more careful about your choice of hiding spot.

"We have revisited all of our AI systems quite drastically so all of the underlying systems that form our very, very complex AI have been revised," Hitman 2 executive producer Markus Friedl told PCgamesN during an interview at E3 2018. "To give you one example: mirrors. Now NPCs can actually spot you through a mirror. It’s these small things that make a huge difference and make the whole thing organic."

Washroom combat's about to get nerfed big-time.

On the flipside, NPCs now have a hard time recognizing you if they can't see your face. They won't be able to instantly pick you out of a crowd by your body outline.

We have a guide to everything you need to know about Hitman 2, so give it a good look. Hitman 2 arrives on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 13.
