You may be waiting for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, but publisher Devolver Digital has said that the original Hotline Miami is coming to PlayStation 4 soon. Devolver Digital's Nigel Lowrie revealed the news during his appearance on Destructoid's Real Talk.
"We're going to bring Hotline Miami to PlayStation 4," Lowrie told Destructoid. "We're just going to keep it cross-buy, because we feel that if the user has bought it on the PlayStation platform, they have the right to own it on Vita, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. If you bought it on PlayStation 4, you should be able to play it on your Vita. That's what we want."
Lowrie said that Sony has been a "great partner" for Devolver Digital and both companies will continue to work together in the future. He also teased that the publisher may have some Sony-related announcements at E3 2014. Devolver digital recently released Vlambeer's Luftrausers on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
"Sony's been really bad-ass," he said. "They've been great partners. They saw what we were doing and believed in it. We might have some surprises at E3 with Sony."
Hotline Miami and its sequel are the work of indie developer Dennaton Games. According to the official Hotline Miami Twitter account, the game is planned for a third quarter 2014 release, with PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita versions on the table.
