As you'll probably already know, Fortnite PS4 players can now cross-play with those on PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This follows months of speculation, with Sony finally giving Fortnite PS4 cross-play the go ahead in late September.
How to Fortnite Cross-Play on PS4
First off, if you haven't already got an Epic Games account, then click here, and sign up for one. If you have already got an Epic Games account, then head to the same link, and simply sign into your usual account.
Now, on your PS4 version of Fortnite Battle Royale, press 'Options' on the main Battle Royale menu. Then press the 'Epic Friends' button, where you'll now see a number of greyed-out slots, waiting to be filled.
Click on any of these slots, and you'll now have to entire the Epic usernames of the friends that you want to play with on Fortnite Battle Royale. Keep in mind that this username isn't their Xbox Gamertag or Switch Friend Code, but the actual Epic Games username that they have tied to their account.
Now that you've added in someone's Epic Games username, you can press 'Add Epic Friend'. They'll now need to accept the friend invitation, but once they've done this, they're all good to go start playing with you on PS4!
This cross-play for Fortnite PS4 players comes at the perfect time, since the next seasonal event for Battle Royale is kicking off tomorrow. For everything that we have on the upcoming season so far, head over to our Fortnite Season 6 guide.
