Hulu Is on the Nintendo Switch

You can finally stream TV to your Switch (if you live in the United States).

The Nintendo Switch's features outside of vanilla game-playing are slowly but surely becoming more robust. Here's a big one: Nintendo's console / handheld hybrid finally has a media streaming service. Specifically, Hulu.

The Switch actually got its first streaming app in September with NicoNico, but the program is only available in Japan. Hulu is a familiar face for English-speaking territories, even if the app only works in the United States. Still, its arrival is good news: Hopefully other services, e.g. Netflix, will soon follow.

Praise be.

If you live in the United States, you can download the Hulu app off the Switch's eShop as soon as the eShop updates today (usually 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET). If you want to watch anything on the service, you need a U.S.-based IP address and a Hulu account. Once you're set up, you can effortlessly flip between playing Switch games and watching your favorite shows in the comfort of your soft, soft bed. Goodnight, everybody.
