Annapurna's Gorgeous Narrative Game If Found Comes to Nintendo Switch This Month

It has a fair bit of new content, too.

One of Annapurna Interactive's narrative games is coming to a new platform before the end of the year. If Found, a story-driven game about erasing worlds to explore memories developed by Dreamfeel, comes to Nintendo Switch on Oct. 22.

The move to Nintendo Switch comes with enhanced accessibility options, a handheld touch-screen mode, extended narrative sequences, a bonus chapter, and multiple interactive epilogues. Basically, it seems like there's a good few reasons to play it again, even if you've already been through once. A representative for Annapurna Interactive says these narrative updates will be coming to iOS and the PC in "early to mid-November."

If Found tells the story of Kasio and her coming-of-age in '90s Ireland. As you peel through distant memories of Kasio's life, you can scrub and erase various parts to reveal more behind the story. It's a straightforward but ultimately effective method for peeling back the layers on Kasio's story.

It works so well that If Found was our Game of the Month for May 2020, joining the likes of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, The Last of Us Part 2, and Kentucky Route Zero on our Game of the Month lineup. That's pretty solid company to be in, and it's worth checking out if you dig story-driven indies.

That's not all for Annapurna Interactive this year, though. The publisher recently launched the ghostly narrative-puzzler I Am Dead, and the star-studded time-loop thriller Twelve Minutes is still expected to make its debut in 2020. Altogether, it's been a solid year for indies, especially those under Annapurna's umbrella.

If Found hits Nintendo Switch on Oct. 22, 2020. It is also currently available on iOS and Steam.
