Injustice 2 is heading to the PC later this month on November 14, but you can get your first taste of NetherRealm's surprisingly vital DC fighting game right now. An open beta for the PC version of the game begins today, but only supports one-versus-one, online multiplayer.
The PC version for Injustice 2 comes several months after the console versions of the game. Developed by QLOC, the PC beta only allows players to play the 1v1 multiplayer mode, while keeping the game's story mode off limits. Which is a shame considering most of my enjoyment came from the game's ridiculous story narrative.
Likewise, the PC beta will open up the game's character, stage, and DLC roster up to Raiden. All players will have access to the newest character, Hellboy, when the full version of Injustice 2 launches on PC.
NetherRealm's Injustice 2 is a sequel to the first Injustice, itself a pretty entertaining DC-spinoff series. Over the years, the Injustice storyline has actually become one of DC's best sidestories, and Injustice 2 did service to the series' increasingly engrossing narrative by also making a really fun fighting game around it.
Injustice 2 will come out on PC on November 14, the same time as the newest DLC pack.
