Is Days Gone on Xbox One?

You may have seen reviews for open-world zombie game Days Gone, but which platforms can you pick it up on.

Days Gone puts you into the leather biker boots of Deacon St John, as he works as a bounty hunter in a world filled with dangerous zombie-like creatures called Freakers. It’s essentially a Darrell from The Walking Dead simulator, allowing you to ride across Oregon on a makeshift motorcycle, crossbow in tow. With all of the hype surrounding Days Gone, you might be wondering whether or not you’ll be able to pick it up on Xbox One. Let’s take a look.

Is Days Gone on Xbox One?

As with any big AAA release lately, it can be a little confusing as to where exactly a game will release. Days Gone is no exception, though the answer is simpler than you may think. Days Gone is developed by Sony-owned first-party studio SIE Bend. This means that is a PlayStation exclusive through and through, and is not available on any other platforms. This is of course bad news for those wanting to pick up Days Gone on Xbox One, as you’ll need a PS4 to play it.

Will Days Gone Come to Xbox One in the Future?

So, if you’re looking to play Days Gone, you’ll need to pick up a PlayStation 4, but is this likely to change in the future? Unfortunately, it’s extremely unlikely, and basically unprecedented at this point. Sony funded the game, and have been proudly marketing it as a PlayStation exclusive and as such, isn’t likely to put it elsewhere. Sony positions its exclusive lineup as a main reason why you’d want to buy its hardware, a stance that looks set to continue into next gen as well.
