Is Platinum Games Teasing Bayonetta Ports for Switch?

New art from official channels hints at potential new titles.

Yesterday, the official Twitter account of Platinum Games released new art featuring Bayonetta. The art showed the fan-favorite character in her Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 incarnations. The background of each character panel in the teaser matches the colors of the games' respective logos.

Teasing by the company, or reaching by fans?

Japanese and Western fans immediately noticed that the color also matched up quite well with the Blue and Red of the Nintendo Switch's Neon color scheme. One fan noted the similarity in a reply to Platinum's tweet, only to have their tweet favorited by the company.

There is absolutely nothing confirmed yet, but the stars do seem to be aligned towards a potential Switch port. Bayonetta was just released on Steam as part of Sega's commitment to releasing more of its back catalog on new platforms. Likewise, Nintendo has shown a strong willingness to mine some of the Wii U's best titles to fill out the Switch's release lineup. If Sega, Nintendo, and Platinum Games have worked it out, we could be seeing another comeback on Nintendo's newest console.

Are there any other Wii U games you'd like to see make a return on the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments!
