Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider the End for Camilla Luddington's Lara Croft?

"It was always a trilogy."

Shadow of the Tomb Raider marks the third time in five years that Camilla Luddington has suited up as Lara Croft. But could it be the final time?

In the interview with Entertainment Tonight just below, Luddington says that she always knew going into the role that this would be a trilogy of Tomb Raider games. "So I did leave thinking that this could possibly be my last journey with Lara," Luddington added.

As of right now, there's no official word from Square Enix on whether this is the end of the current iteration of Lara Croft. We don't currently have sales figures for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, so it's hard to speculate about whether this could be the final installment for Luddington's Lara Croft.

Hirun Cryer is by far the most juvenile member of USgamer. He's so juvenile, that this is his first full-time job in the industry, unlike literally every other person featured on this page. He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
