Kanye West Wants to Hang Out With Hideo Kojima While He's in NYC For Some Reason

Will Kojima ghost the rap mogul?

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, has been hanging out around New York City, apparently. But my man here isn't the stealthy tourist he thinks he is, as word has gotten out that he is somewhere in the city.

Rapper Kanye West heard the call of Kojima, as if a Kojima-shaped beacon appeared in the night sky by the Empire State Building, like the bat signal in Gotham. "Heard Hideo Kojima is in NY," Kanye wrote on Twitter today. "We need to meet [sic] Does anyone know where he is or how to contact him." Ye, fresh off producing a series of albums this year (among other things), must be hungry for a new project. Does Kanye want to be the latest celebrity to appear in Death Stranding, or is he just a big Metal Gear fan? Whatever the reasoning is, Kanye is on the hunt for Kojima.

Luckily (or not luckily, depending on how you look at it) Geoff Keighley, head of The Game Awards and known good pal to Kojima, has Ye's back. In a short reply to his tweet, Keighley simply writes, "I got ya." So here we are, in the midst of this bizarre Twitter exchange with Kanye daydreaming about meeting Kojima, even tweeting at him directly in a follow-up. Maybe we'll get a semi-happy ending out of this, with a picture of the two of them or something. Or maybe we'll see Kojima in a red hat we don't want to see him in. Only time will tell.
