Kingdom Come: Deliverance Mod Fixes the Game's Troublesome Save System

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Mod Fixes the Game's Troublesome Save System

Some player are also reporting some confusion over the game's day one patch.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is out now to what looks like a good start. Reviews online have been fairly positive so far, though there is one sticking point for a lot of players: the game's byzantine save system. A system that players have quickly modded to fix.

Everyone seems to agree that the save system is just not good. In Kingdom Come, there are only three ways to save your game. Trigger an automatic save by reaching a certain point in a quest, or sleeping. However both of those options are pretty difficult as quests are often very long, leading to save points that are hours apart, and sleeping could inadvertently screw-up a time-sensitive quest.

The third option involves a potion called Saviour Schnapps which the game lets players only carry three of at a time. But get the rare item and you can save your game, despite the fact that quantities are limited, rare, and expensive.

So now there's an Unlimited Saving mod that you can install pretty easily. Yay.

Kingdom Come is a new RPG that prides itself on its historical realism. And while overall impressions have been positive, the Kickstarted game does have some game breaking bugs. The studio launched a massive Day One patch to fix some of these issues, but some Xbox One players have complained that they haven't seen the patch, or that the if they have the version numbers are a bit confusing to navigate.

If you've been having some save issues, consider checking out the mod and save yourself some trouble.
