Kingdom Hearts 3 Gets 2018 Release Window and Toy Story World, Howdy Howdy Howdy

Is there a snake in my boot, or am I actually excited about a Kingdom Hearts game again?

I'll be completely honest, I've been apprehensive about Kingdom Hearts 3 from the start. I don't like Kingdom Hearts 2 too much. The only spin-off I enjoyed was Birth By Sleep, its PSP offering. But I'll be honest: nothing got me more jazzed about another Kingdom Hearts 3 than seeing Sora, Goofy, and Donald shrunk to toy-like critters, fighting an onslaught of Heartless, Nobodies, and shaking hands with good ol' Woody, howdy howdy howdy.

Kingdom Hearts 3's newest trailer was revealed today during D23, and it highlighted a brand new world for the action RPG: a Toy Story-themed world. The new world is the fourth confirmed world for the game, the others themed after Big Hero 6, Tangled, Hercules' Olympus (which has showed up in prior games). The trailer shows Sora, Goofy, Donald, and the gang from Toy Story clambering over rooftops, fighting enemies in Andy's room, and blasting foes within little mechas in a toy store that doesn't seem to be Al's Toy Barn from Toy Story 2.

You can watch the lengthy trailer showing off the new world, its Organization XIII-initiated conflict, Sora getting into mecha-related hijinks, and seeing some familiar Toy Story faces below. Oh yeah, and the game's coming out in 2018 apparently. Thank you, vague release window that will almost certainly be delayed.
