Korean Video Game Ratings Board Lists Fortnite on Switch

Fortnite has been rated for the Nintendo Switch by the South Korean video game ratings board, seemingly confirming the ultra-popular battle royale game is coming for the ultra-popular Nintendo hybrid console.

In April we reported that at the time there were no plans to release the Switch at E3 but were also told that Epic is known for quick turnarounds on Fortnite. Thanos was added to Fortnite rather quickly and Fortnite mobile was built within a matter of a few months as well. We also received Fortnite Switch tips come in during the last few weeks as well. So Fortnite Switch would just be the latest hat trick from Epic.

Fortnite Battle Royale

The listing confirms another leak recently which included Fortnite (among other games) as part of Nintendo's E3 lineup. This latest leak has been suggested by various outlets as accurate.

Epic's Fortnite has been a massive success both commercially and how the game captured mainstream attention. Fortnite was the top game on YouTube according to SteamSpy's Sergey Galyonkin with 5.09 billion views. Nearly double that of the second most popular game Minecraft.

Epic's flexibility with the IP has allowed it to do some interesting things with Fortnite, including cross-platform play. We expect to hear more about Fortnite on the Switch at E3, which you can check our full schedule for here.
