Lady Layton Gets a New Name, Mobile Version Coming Worldwide on July 20

Layton’s Mystery Journey will launch in Japan on 3DS, but if you can't wait, Android and iOS have you covered.

Yesterday, Level-5 announced the final release date for Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone's Conspiracy, alongside a brand-new name (translation via Gematsu). The game is now called Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaire's Conspiracy. It will launch in Japan on Nintendo 3DS on July 20, alongside a release on Android and iOS.

Layton's Mystery Journey stars Katrielle Layton, the daughter of the original Professor Layton. While she still solves puzzles like her father, Katrielle does so as a detective. She started down that path to find her father, who mysteriously disappeared. Her assistants include a talking dog named Sharo and young man Noah Montoir.

While the 3DS release is Japan-only, the Android and iOS versions will be available worldwide. Supported languages include Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Korean. A western release for the 3DS version is in the cards, but there's no confirmed release window.

The 3DS version will costs player 4,800 yen upon release. The Android and iOS versions will cost 1,900 yen.
