Leak Suggests Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Could Get Standalone Release

About time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered might be getting a standalone release according to some new leaks online.

CharlieIntel.com posted an image of what looks to be an individually packaged copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered that surfaced in a Target. The leak also suggests the game will be in stock on June 20th (today), or June 27th along with a $39.99 price tag.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered was previously included in the special edition of 2016's Infinite Warfare, but many fans complained that the remastered version of the game should be available separately. Now it looks as though this might be the case (given these leaks are legitimate).

No word yet on whether or not there will be a PC or Xbox One standalone release as well, though it's hard to see why the other two consoles would miss out on a potential Modern Warfare release.

We'll update the story as more details arrive.
