Leaked Overwatch Trailer Highlights Heroes' Original Looks

The next Overwatch event goes live tomorrow and a leaked trailer shows off the new skins.

Ahead of the new Overwatch event launching tomorrow, a trailer for the new update launched ahead of schedule. PlayStation France put up their trailer for the new mode a bit too early, showing off all the new skins coming to the event. The trailer has since been removed, but the internet never forgets.

As I guessed before, the skins show many of the characters in their looks prior to the current era the game takes place in. Reinhardt, Tracer, Torbjorn, Mercy, Genji, McCree, and Widowmaker all have new outfits that show off their time as a part of the official Overwatch and Blackwatch teams. Soldier 76, Reaper, and Ana already have their old-school looks in game, so this is more completing the set. There looks to be a tease for a new Bastion skin towards the end of the trailer.

The trailer also shows off a bit of the Omnic uprising that will comprise the event's new mode. Like Junkenstein's Revenge, it looks like it'll be a score-based Horde mode, pitting a team against waves of Omnics instead of zombies.

Overwatch Insurgence will go live tomorrow, though we don't have a specific time yet.

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
