Life Is Strange 2 Episode 2 is Coming in January 2019

No release date just yet though.

Dontnod finally revealed when to expect the second episode of Life Is Strange 2, though a hard release date still eludes us. Instead, we can expect the next chapter sometime in January 2019.

In a blog post published by Dontnot, the developers explained the longer than expected release schedule for Life is Strange 2 and why the second episode is premiering nearly five months after the first episode. For context the second episode of the first Life is Strange was released two months after the first episode.

"We understand that there are certain expectations that episodes will be released at a similar cadence as previous Life is Strange games have," the Life Is Strange development team said in a post. "The ambition of Life is Strange 2, however, means that the previous frameworks no longer apply if we are to meet the quality of play and storytelling that our vision for a game like this demands and that you deserve."

Life is Strange 2 follows two brothers, Sean and Daniel, as they make their way through the United States to the Mexican border. All while navigating the supernatural. Dontnod says that more info will be released in mid-December for 'Episode 2: Rules' but until then we now have a time frame for when to expect the next chapter.
