Life is Strange Studio Announces Trippy New Mystery Game, Twin Mirror for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

He looks like he could use a damn good cup of coffee.

Dontnod and Bandai Namco are working together to take players on a good ol' Americana mystery with a new game called Twin Mirror.

Today's trailer revealed a protagonist returning to his sleepy hometown for a funeral, only to wake up the next morning with his shirt covered in blood and no memory of what happened the night before. That's when things start getting really freaky and he's traveling through what looks like alternate dimensions and floating dreamscapes. You can see the new trailer below.

Since this is a partnership between Dontnod and Bandai Namco it's safe to assume this is the new IP the two companies have been working on since 2016. Last year, the two developers announced an official partnership and a new IP.

Like Dontnod's previous game Life is Strange, there are elements of the X-Files and Twin Peaks present in the trailer. Even the name feels like a deliberate reference to those 90s mystery shows.

Dontnod's most recent game was Vampyre, which you can check out our review of here. Life is Strange 2 is also in development. Twin Mirror will be coming to PS4 as well as Xbox One and PC.
