Wake up, hero. The remaster of Link's Awakening has finally been given a release date of September 20, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
The remade version swaps old Game Boy aesthetic for cute, almost toy-like graphics. It looks like the whole game, Wind Fish included, will be coming through to the Switch. Hopefully the DX version too?
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was the first Zelda on the Nintendo Game Boy, and it was an odd one. Link is off at sea when a storm knocks him ashore on Koholint Island, an dreamlike isle where things might not be as perfect as they seem. To leave, he has to wake the Wind Fish using instruments gained from various dungeons, uncovering the secrets of Koholint along the way.
There were already some details found in the lanyards for this year's E3, but now we have a few more details. Looks like you'll be able to make and explore your own dungeons, built out using pre-fabricated room layouts you find on your adventure.
The Link's Awakening remake will be on Nintendo Switch on September 20, later this year. For all things E3, be sure to check out our guide to E3 2019.
