LittleBigPlanet Returns With Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Sackboy is back with a new adventure.
LittleBigPlanet is returning for the next generation of PlayStation, thanks to some help from Sumo Digital. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is the next adventure for our crocheted hero, coming to PlayStation 5.
In a trailer shown today during Sony's Future of Gaming stream, it seems like the LittleBigPlanet crew is back in full stride. Lots of platforming, punching, and cartoon-y antics abound. Four players were shown at one point playing together, indicating multiplayer will be included. What wasn't shown was whether it would have any level creation tools like previous LittleBigPlanet games. No release date was shown either.
LittleBigPlanet hasn't seen a proper new entry since 2014's LittleBigPlanet 3. Though series creator Media Molecule has moved on to making Dreams, a creation suite of a different kind entirely, that hasn't stopped fans from still making games inside LittleBigPlanet's creation suite. Even just last year, one developed a version of Super Mario Maker 2 inside LittleBigPlanet 3.
