Looks Like Pokken Tournament DX's Demo is Hitting the Switch's eShop This Thursday

Gotta punch 'em all.

A Pokemon game is finally coming to the Switch sometime soon… well sorta! Pokken Tournament DX, the Pokemon fighting game somewhat by way of Tekken (it's even called Pokemon Tekken in Germany and Austria), will be out on the Nintendo Switch on September 22. But first, according to some mysteriously deleted tweets on Nintendo's behalf, a demo of the updated game might be out sooner than players expected.

Earlier this morning, Nintendo UK tweeted that a free demo of Pokken Tournament DX would be available on the eShop starting on August 24. Soon after though the tweet was deleted, leaving fans scratching their heads. Yet on a blog posted regarding this week's Gamescom conference on Nintendo UK's website, the demo is confirmed for release this Thursday for European audiences. No word on if the demo will also hit North American eShops as well.

Pokken Tournament DX is a deluxe version of Pokken Tournament, which released on Wii U back in 2015. The enhanced port will include additional fighters that were available in the game's arcade version, as well as 3v3 battles, online ranked mode, and group matches with friends only.
