Madden 20 Gets a Gameplay Reveal and Ratings Performance Adjuster at EA Play

This year's Madden wants to capture NFL stars as realistically as possible.

Madden 20 is coming out later this year, and EA is adding a new feature that gives the game's biggest players unique abilities that better capture their superstardom. You can watch the first bit of gameplay for Madden 20 below.

At EA's E3 livestream event this weekend, EA Sports offered the first real look at this year's Madden 20. The big new feature this year is something called "X-Factor." This gives players like Patrick Mahome and stars unique abilities that are tailormade for them. Almost like special abilities unique to football's biggest players.

As previously announced, a new career mode for Madden 20 will be available called Face of the Franchise. This mode allows players to create quarterbacks and begin at the college level, before taking them all the way to the NFL.

On the Ultimate Teams front, there's a new system called Ultimate Missions which streamlines the process of getting the UT item you're looking for, without navigating confusing UT menus.

Lastly, EA Sports announced a real-life Ratings Performance Adjustor. This is a real person who travels with NFL teams and observes players to give EA Sports real-time performance updates to better capture a player's true Madden rating.

EA Sports announced that there will be a closed beta for Madden 20 this month from June 14 to 16. More details for the private beta, including how to get in, will be revealed later. Madden 20 is coming out on August 2.

Madden 20 is the second sports game EA revealed at today's EA Play livestream. EA Sports is also bringing FIFA 20 this year with a new Volta Football mode that brings street-level soccer to a FIFA game.
