This year's installment of Madden NFL hits wider circulation later this week, but players have already been getting in on the early access and messing around with this year's take. While some things have changed, one particular bug has defenders sliding off rushers, which is especially dangerous in the case of Baltimore's own Lamar Jackson.
Baltimore's offense is essentially built around starting quarterback Lamar Jackson's ability to run the ball. But in Madden 20, virtual Jackson is already picking up major yards thanks to some defenders' seeming inability to get a firm grip on him.
If you're having flashbacks to Madden-era Michael Vick, you're not alone. Here's Madden School showcasing the bug in action, set to tonally appropriate music:
Other rushers are benefitting from this too. Here's CJ Anderson, making the Oakland defense look like... well, the Oakland defense. But it's still pretty wild.

There are plenty more, though Jackson stands out because of his incredible stats. (94 speed, 95 agility, 85 elusiveness. He's fast.) But this isn't the only bug Madden 20 is dealing with in its pre-launch launch. One hilarious one involves footballs getting stuck on helmets, like the players are cars in Rocket League.
It looks like Madden 20 has some things to iron out before launch day. In the meantime, if you're looking for the best QBs to pick up (besides, you know, Lamar Jackson), check out our QB ratings and more in our guides section.
