Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Gets a Free Breath of the Wild Update

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Gets a Free Breath of the Wild Update

Link's got a fresh new bike.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are two of the best Nintendo Switch games, and now they're crossing over. Link is getting a brand new outfit, as well as a familiar set of wheels, thanks to a new free update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In the trailer just below, you can see a Link kitted out in his Breath of the Wild garb, as well as riding the Master Cycle Zero. The latter didn't arrive in Breath of the Wild until The Champions' Ballad DLC released in December 2017, but it's one hell of a fun item to use in the latest Zelda game (for a walkthrough of how to get the bike in Breath of the Wild, head over to our Master Cycle Zero guide).

The free update is available to download now for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Just a week ago, Nintendo promised more frequent updates for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch, and so it certainly seems like it's making good on its promise.
