Capcom has confirmed the first few characters coming to the recently-reviewed Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. I noted that the game's roster of female fighters was depressingly low with only four contenders, and it seems the downloadable content (DLC) will rectify that a bit.
"We know there has been much speculation on who the remaining four DLC characters will be, and we are happy to announce that Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier, Black Widow and the shape-shifting Venom will all be battling their way into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite later this year," said the company in a statement. "We are hard at work on these characters and can't wait to show them to you when they are ready!"
They join Black Panther and Sigma, who were previously announced DLC characters rounding out the first wave. Players who bought the Deluxe Edition get all six characters, alongside costumes for Thor, Ryu, Hulk, Mega Man X, and Captain Marvel. Everyone else has to pay for the privilege. Hopefully, Capcom will continue to expand the roster for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite as the initial lineup feels like a bit of a retread.
