Marvel's Avengers Datamined DLC Characters Include Captain Marvel, She Hulk, Kate Bishop, and More

Several potential characters can be found in the PC beta's files.

Marvel's Avengers had another beta phase over the weekend, where the beta was opened up to all PS4 players, and limited Xbox One and PC users. On the latter platform, there's been evidence uncovered of several potential DLC characters in the game's files.

The discoveries were made over on the Marvel's Avengers subreddit over the weekend. A user found references to Peter Parker, who is already confirmed for the game as a PS4-exclusive character, as well as mentions of Kate Bishop, She Hulk, Captain Marvel, and War Machine.

The user managed to uncover Challenge Cards for each of the heroes mentioned above. Challenge Cards are what you're going to use to build your reputation in Marvel's Avengers. You’ll spend earned Credits to buy Hero Tokens, which go toward your Challenge Card for any given hero.

We already know both Spider-Man and the Clint Barton version of Hawkeye are coming to Marvel's Avengers post-launch. The potential blockbuster additions of Captain Marvel, War Machine, Kate Bishop's Hawkeye, and She Hulk are welcome news indeed for the game's roster.

But that's not all! The video below delves into greater detail on the potential characters datamined through the Marvel's Avengers PC beta. There's actually a lot more potential characters than the preliminary few above, including Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Winter Soldier, and more.

Earlier this month, Marvel's Avengers creative director Shaun Escayg commented on potential newcomers in a roundtable interview. "The goal is to open up the entire Marvel universe to use the palette to draw from and place and situate in our world," said Escayg (thanks, wccftech). The creative director reasserted later on that the game aims to draw from the entire 80-year history of Marvel, meaning any character from any given era is potentially on the table.

Marvel's Avengers launches on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on September 14. There'll be free next-gen upgrades for users on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
