Media Molecule Picks Their Favorite Dreams Community Levels

The annual 'IMPY' awards took place last week.

Dreams is set to launch out of early access next month on PS4. Ahead of the final launch, developer Media Molecule has picked out their favorite levels, creators, soundtracks, and more from around the community so far.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, the results of Media Molecule's broadcast last week were written up. There were five nominees for every category, and then one winner was chosen by a panel of developers from the studio.

One of the standout awards was for 'Best Visuals,' which Outpost 60 by BrianTaylor60 took the award for. Outpost 60 is an exploration game set on a space station, where you patrol your surroundings as an astronaut from a third-person perspective.

The award for 'Best Character' went to Frederic the Fox, pictured below. This loveable creation is the titular star of the Fantastic Frederic Fox game, an exploration game where you collect orbs as the colorful canid.

The prestigious 'Best Gameplay' award went to Cubric. Taking a look at the snippet below, you can instantly see why the impression creation from the_burgervan took home the award.

At the conclusion of the PlayStation Blog post, Media Molecule says they've been listening to feedback, and will consider including Best Music Video, Best Remix, and Best Historical Sailing Ships categories for the next Dreams community awards.

Dreams launches in full on February 14. Back when it first entered early access, we interviewed some of the game's best creators on how to get to grips with the complex building mechanics and tools on offer.
