Mega Man 11 Release Date Announced for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch

Capcom announced that Mega Man 11 is coming out on October 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The next mainline Mega Man game will be changing things up in a big way by ditching the retro 8-bit aesthetics for a 2.5D graphical style. The game was announced as part of the series' 30th anniversary.

Mega Man 11 comes with a mandate to reinvent the classic Mega Man formula with a new look and new mechanics. You can check out our Mega Man 11 preview here. Other than the new look and mechanics, you can expect a classic Mega Man formula down to the platforming and bosses.

Mega Man 11 introduces two new mechanics called Speed Gear and Power Gear which gives Mega Man either bullet time or short bursts of power respectively. As we said in our preview, Mega Man 11 is decidedly looking toward the future of the series.

With mega Man 11 coming out on October 2, it looks like this really is the next chapter for Mega Man fans everywhere.
