Metal Wolf Chaos XD Skips the Midterms, Delayed Until Mid-2019

Not up for re-election this year.

Devolver Digital announced today that Metal Wolf Chaos XD will be pushed back from its late 2018 release to sometime in mid-2019. No explanation was given for the delay.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD is the updated release of the 2004 cult-classic Metal Wolf Chaos, previously never released in North America. Metal Wolf Chaos XD was expected to launch sometime this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Devolver Digital did release a new trailer to go with the delay announcement and as you'd expect it's chock-full of 'Murica and patriotic propaganda. You can check out the new trailer embedded in Devolver's tweet below.

Metal Wolf Chaos is a third-person mech game where you play as the President of the United States Michael Wilson pilots a mech to stop a coup initiated by the Vice President. The game is developed by From Software of Dark Souls fame.

We should have more Metal Wolf Chaos information from Gamescom later this week so check back in my fellow Americans (non-Americans welcome to check back in also, no worries).
