Netflix's The Witcher series has been nothing short of a pleasant surprise, particularly Henry Cavill as the titular monster slayer. Now modders are trying to put Cavill's version of Geralt of Rivia into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Over on NexusMods, there's one main mod that replaces CD Projekt Red's Geralt with Henry Cavill's version of the character in the Netflix show. Additionally, the mod also swaps out Yennefer of Vengerberg's standard character model for a model resembling Anya Chalotra's portrayal of the sorceress in the Netflix adaptation.
There are then several mods building upon this one. Firstly there's a mod that restructures the facial hair options to better suit the Cavill version of Geralt of Rivia. Secondly, there's a mod that allows the mark Geralt bears on his face in the Hearts of Stone expansion to mesh with the Cavill mod.
Additionally, there's also a mod that swaps out the body of Witcher 3's Geralt for that of Cavill. Just in case CD Projekt Red's monster hunter wasn't shredded enough for you already.
Finally, there's a mod that introduces Geralt's steel sword from the Witcher series to The Witcher 3. This isn't the sword that Geralt attaches Renfri's broach to after the debut episode (as some eagle-eyed viewers might have noticed), but his other sword instead.
All eight episodes of The Witcher are available to stream on Netflix. Although a second season of the adaptation has been confirmed by Netflix and showrunner Lauren Hissrich, it won't be arriving until 2021 at the earliest.
