Monster Hunter Direct For Japan This Thursday

Monster Hunter Direct For Japan This Thursday

What Monster Hunter action is coming this week?

Nintendo has announced another Nintendo Direct presentation, scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 8pm Japan time (7am ET). This Direct will be focused on the Monster Hunter series. It'll be hosted by Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.

Nintendo makes it clear that the presentation will not feature any new information concerning the Nintendo Switch or any smartphone titles. This means, we're either looking at DLC or additional content for an existing Monster Hunter game.

It's also likely that Capcom is ready to reveal the unannounced Monster Hunter title teased in a previous financial earnings report. The planned title is due out by the end of Capcom's fiscal year on March 31, 2017. The timing would make me think it's a Monster Hunter game for Switch if Nintendo hadn't already shot down that idea.

Regardless, we'll find out what Nintendo is holding onto on Thursday. What do you think will be announced at the Nintendo Direct?

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
