When Monster Hunter: World launches on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, you don't have to be afraid about Capcom leaving it behind. Like Street Fighter 5, Capcom is looking to support its newest Monster Hunter long after launch. In an interview with Famitsu (translated via Gematsu), Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said the game will receive further post-launch updates.
"We are thinking about free, post-launch updates for Monster Hunter: World. What I can specifically say is that we plan to new monsters and such in hopes that users play for a long time. As for what kind of monsters will be added and so on, information will be shared later on, so please look forward to it," said Tsujimoto.
PC owners will have to wait for that "post-launch" period, as Monster Hunter: World still lacks a firm release date on that platform.
