Geralt is taking his wild hunt to other games today in the Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher crossover. The new event begins soon on PS4 and Xbox One, and we have the exact times for when you can start playing as Geralt of Rivia in the world of Monster Hunter.
The Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher collaboration will begin today at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET. The event was announced at last year's Monster Hunter: World celebration livestream along with the upcoming Monster Hunter: World Iceborne expansion. The latter is a full-sized expansion with new quests, monsters, and storylines.
The Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher crossover differs from previous collaboration events because you'll actually be playing as Geralt, and not just playing to earn Witcher-themed loot. It looks like there's some story bits that'll explain how Geralt comes to Astera, and he'll even be interacting with the world's characters.
Capcom is even promising brand-new quests that will "blend the RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" into Monster Hunter: World. I guess Geralt wasn't content with having a single guest appearance in Soulcalibur 6's roster. As previously announced, the Monster Hunter: World x The Witcher crossover is only going live on consoles. The event will be coming to PC at a later, unannounced date.
