The Mortal Kombat series has been infamous for many things, but the 1995 movie holds a special place in pop culture. It made the pounding MK theme infamous, brought characters like Goro and Scorpion to life, and is arguably one of the best movies based on a video game ever.
Mortal Kombat 11 already played into that '90s nostalgia a bit with its launch trailer, and today, NetherRealm Studios is pushing it even further. A new skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11, dubbed the Klassic MK Movie Skin pack, adds both the likeness and voice of Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Raiden.
Linden Ashby's Johnny Cage, Bridgette Wilson's Sonya Blade, and the incredible Lord Raiden played by Christopher Lambert are all here. They don their costumes from the movie too, to really drive home the nostalgia. And even better, you now have another option to repalce Ronda Rousey's Sonya Blade performance. It's really a win all around. At this point, I'm just crossing my fingers for a retelling of the Mortal Kombat movie inside the MK11 engine.
The skin pack is available now, as is the upgrade to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 11. With the latest big update to Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm Studios brought back a couple fan favorites in Rain and Mileena, as well as Sylvester Stallone's John Rambo as a guest fighter. Yes, you can finally live out your dream of seeing Christopher Lambert fight Rambo, RoboCop, and the Terminator.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 11 is available now, on both previous and current-gen consoles, as well as PC.
