Mysterious New Life is Strange 2 Trailer Teases Big Powers and Big Danger

A new adventure, some new powers?

Dontnod will reveal Life is Strange 2 on August 20, but until then the studio is content with releasing mysterious teasers to drum up some excitement. The new teaser shows the typical day of a cop until he encounters something strange.

The short teaser is set in the perspective of a police car dashboard cam for one Officer Matthews. He appears to be driving through some indistinct, American town when suddenly he pulls over and reports a 10-10 and calls for backup. In general police codes a 10-10 is a "fight in progress." We hear some worried voices before both Officer Matthews and the police car are flipped over by a powerful force.

This is a more detailed teaser than the release announcement back in June where Dontnod announced the launch date for Life is Strange 2 via a video showing off a tattered-up satchel.

Life is Strange 2 is a sequel to the first Life is Strange which followed art student Max Caulfield and her best friend Chloe Price as they investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student in the quiet Oregon town of Arcadia Bay. Psychic powers, murder plots, and teenage drama ensue.

There has been one prequel titled Life is Strange: Before the Storm which follows a younger Chloe Price, and a free episode called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit which sets players up for Life is Strange 2 but isn't directly related to the events of the upcoming sequel.

Life is Strange 2 will be a five-episode narrative adventure and is set to come out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 27.
