The demo for the Resident Evil 3 remake is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can experience the horror of Nemesis yourself in the shoes of Jill Valentine, which has led to one interesting discovery about the new Tyrant.
In the clip below, a player decides to troll Nemesis' AI system by leading the monster around an impassable box. Nemesis gets a little fed up with this (understandably), so he lets out a massive roar that stuns Jill for a short time. The Tyrant then closes in and mauls her. Lovely stuff.
This is... quite alarming. The fact that Nemesis can just let out a huge "Fus Ro Dah!" roar and temporarily stun you is pretty frightening, considering he stands at roughly nine feet tall and is built for the sole purpose of crushing Jill's skull (yes, that's an unpleasant death animation in the remake).
I'll level with you: if you hated Mr. X in Resident Evil 2, you're going to loathe Nemesis in Resident Evil 3. He's faster, stronger, and can seemingly access more areas than his Tyrant equivalent in the last remake from Capcom. Although, Jill does now have a handy dodge ability to counter Nemesis' attacks.
The Resident Evil 3 remake releases on April 3 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. I'd highly recommend giving the demo a go now, it's a fantastic glimpse of the redesigned Raccoon City.
