A Devil May Cry 5 demo launched near the end of 2018, but much to the anger of PS4 owners, it was exclusive to the Xbox One. That demo is no longer available to download, but Capcom has announced that a brand new demo is arriving next month on the PS4 and Xbox One.
The announcement of the new demo for Devil May Cry 5 came in the tweet just below. The Xbox One-exclusive demo, which showcased Nero in action for a single level, is now no longer available to download on Microsoft’s console, but you can play it all you want if you previously downloaded the demo.
Huge thanks to everyone who downloaded and tried out the #DMC5 Xbox One demo! As of today, it will no longer be available for download, but it's still playable if you have it on your system.Devil May Cry 5 (@DevilMayCry) January 7, 2019

The previously released demo for Devil May Cry 5 is the one that we played back at Gamescom 2018, and were pretty stunned by. It’s a neat level that showcases Nero’s new Devilbreaker abilities, all wrapping up in a tidy boss fight with a monster that has a mouth protruding from its belly.
Looking forward to this new demo, which isn’t console-exclusive, we’re going to be seeing a different section of Devil May Cry 5. A personal hope is that we’ll get to play as Dante, who was previously playable in the Tokyo Games Show 2018 show floor demo.
Devil May Cry 5 launches on PS4 and Xbox One on March 8, 2019. For all you need to know about the next game in Capcom’s saga, head over to our Devil May Cry 5 guide.
