New DLC Coming to Ghost Recon Wildlands

The DLC includes new story missions, a new level cap, new enemy types, and tons more.

Get ready to plunge back into the wilds. Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting its second major expansion.

The expansion, titled "Fallen Ghosts," is available for Season Pass holders on May 30. It can be purchased individually on June 6.

Your friendly neighborhood mercenary.

Fallen Ghosts is a continuation of Ghost Recon Wildlands' main story. Ubisoft's official blog lays out the who's and why's, but the gist is that Bolivia has descended into civil war, and a new faction comprised of misfits, "Los Extranjeros," is on the hunt for American agents in hiding. The Ghosts are dispatched to pick up any US citizens left in the country, but their copter is shot down in the jungle, and the situation quickly deteriorates.

Here's what you can expect from Fallen Ghosts:

  • New enemy types: Los Extranjeros come in four flavors: Armored (deadly in close combat), Elite snipers (self-explanitory), Jammers (can neutralize drones and other electronic equipment), and Covert Ops (capable of cloaking themselves).
  • 15 new campaign missions with new bosses, all playable with four-player co-op.
  • A new level cap: 35.
  • New weapons, including assault rifles, sniper rifles, and a crossbow.
  • Four new side-activity types, each with its own reward.

Wildlands is a great game and a solid seller for Ubisoft, but Jaz found its vanilla campaign a bit short for his liking. Fallen Ghosts is great news for anyone thinking on the same wavelength.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
