A series of new Japanese trailers for Final Fantasy 7 Remake have just arrived online. While some of the trailers stray into live action territory, the in-game trailers show us a glimpse of Meteor. Warning, there are light spoilers for Final Fantasy 7 Remake in this article.
The two Japanese trailers for the remake just below show in-game action. It's the first one, the "Story" trailer for the remake, that shows the incoming destruction of Final Fantasy 7's planet by Meteor. This is the first time we've seen the destructive force of Meteor in the remake, and the way the trailer is cut, is almost makes it look as though Sephiroth is showing an illusion of Meteor's impact to Cloud and company.
As for the other three trailers, they're all just below. They actually strike quite a pleasant balance in showing how people that loved the original game over 20 years ago have a certain nostalgia for the remake. In fact, if you go and check over on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake subreddit, there are often posts from users revealing they've purchased a PS4, their first console in years, just to play the remake.
Just yesterday, Square Enix warned that there might be shortages of physical copies of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The company released a statement saying that although the game is still on track for the release date of April 10 next month, the coronavirus will likely impact the manufacturing and distribution of physical copies of the remake.
