New The Last of Us Part 2 Gameplay Airing in State of Play Tomorrow

We'll get a new look at Naughty Dog's sequel.

Tomorrow, we'll get a brand new look at The Last of Us Part 2. Sony has announced a new State of Play presentation for Naughty Dog's next game, which will air tomorrow on Wednesday, May 27.

As per Naughty Dog's official announcement, we'll get a new look at gameplay for the hotly anticipated sequel. There's no word on how long the State of Play presentation for the game will be, but it'll be airing at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.

So what can we expect from the State of Play presentation on The Last of Us Part 2 tomorrow? We should get another glimpse of what it'll be like to step into an older Ellie's shoes, likely complete with brutal combat in hostile environments. Hopefully we'll get a decent look at the wider world of the sequel, and where it takes place around Seattle.

Fear not, there are no spoilers to be found in the comments underneath Naughty Dog's announcement on Twitter. The developer has been using Twitter's brand new feature of turning off replies for right around a week now, in order to combat the deluge of leaks that are out there about the plot and gameplay of The Last of Us Part 2.

There's now just under a month to go until we can finally play Naughty Dog's sequel for ourselves. The Last of Us Part 2 will launch on June 19 for the PS4. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann revealed in early April that development on the sequel was effectively finished, speaking about the frustrations of the game being "there" and ready, but delayed due to concerns surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.
